Key Care Requirements
Light:
Provide bright, indirect light, ideally within 3 feet of a window, to keep the foliage vibrant and prevent stretching. Too much direct sun can burn leaves, while too little light causes variegation loss.
Watering:
Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. The soil should remain lightly moist but never waterlogged to avoid root rot.
Humidity & Temperature:
High humidity is essential, ideally with a humidifier or by grouping with other plants. Maintain temperatures between 65–80°F (18–27°C) and avoid cold drafts.
Soil & Potting:
Use a chunky, airy mix, such as one containing potting soil, orchid bark, perlite, and charcoal.
Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced, liquid houseplant fertilizer at half-strength once a month during spring and summer.
These trailing plants benefit from a moss pole to climb, which encourages larger, more variegated leaves.
