Key Care Requirements
Light:
Very bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sun can burn the white/variegated sections, while too little light causes the plant to lose its patterns.
Watering:
Water thoroughly only when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. Overwatering leads to root rot, which is a common issue.
Humidity & Temperature:
Thrives in 50-90% humidity but adapts to normal room levels. Use a humidifier or pebble tray in drier, cooler months. Prefers temperatures between 18-26°C (65–85°F), avoiding anything below 13°C (50°F).
Soil & Potting:
Use a well-draining, chunky mix containing perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir or peat.
Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer.
Maintenance:
Provide a moss pole or trellis for support to encourage larger foliage. Prune leggy stems to encourage a bushier habit.
Pests: Keep an eye out for spider mites, aphids, and scale.
