Philodendron Silver Sword Variegated
Plant including pot – 30 cm
Leaf length 25 cm
Pot size 12 cm
Key Care Requirements
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain variegation. Avoid harsh, direct sun to prevent leaf scorch, though too little light may cause fading or slow growth.
Watering:
Water when the top half of the soil is dry, or roughly weekly. The plant appreciates consistent moisture but is susceptible to rot if left soggy. Drooping or curling leaves indicate a need for water.
Humidity & Temperature:
Prefers high humidity > 60% but can adapt to average household levels. Thrives in temperatures between 18−29∘ C / 65−80∘F
Soil & Potting:
Use a well-draining, chunky mix, such as a combination of coco peat, orchid bark, perlite, and charcoal.
Fertilizer:
Feed sparingly with a diluted liquid fertilizer once a month during spring and summer.
Maintenance:
If the plant reverts (produces all-green leaves), prune back the non-variegated stem to encourage variegated growth.
